TMZ recently spoke with UFC President Dana White, who said that a rematch between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will happen this year. Khabib won the last fight at UFC 229 by submission in the fourth round in what many say was a dominating performance. However, there was some controversy after the fight when Khabib leapt out of the cage to attack someone in the crowd and a brawl broke out inside.

He said: “As long as everything goes right, this fight should happen.

It’s possible that Max Holloway, Tony Ferguson or someone else could get a shot at the lightweight title before McGregor does. Both McGregor and Nurmagomedov are still facing suspensions for the post-fight brawl.
