Daniel Cormier Opens As Favorite Against Brock Lesnar

MMA Junkie reports that UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has opened as the favorite in betting odds against Brock Lesnar, with the fight set to happen in early 2019. However, the lead isn’t as wide as you’d think given Lesnar’s absence from the sport and last win happening in 2010.
Oddsmaker Joey Oddessa opened the odds at -200 for Cormier and +180 for Lesnar. That means that a $100 bet on Cormier would get you $50 (66.7% implied win probability) and $100 bet on Lesnar would get you $180 (35.7%).
Oddessa said: “I know the public will bet Lesnar, but Cormier is the better fighter.”
As more money came in for Lesnar, Cormier dropped as low as -175 in the odds.
