– Derek Brunson recently spoke with mmajunkie.com about his UFC Fight Night 94 fight with Uriah Hall. Here is what He had to say…

On Media Not Paying Attention to Him: “Consistency. Hard work. I’m trying to get you guys to pay attention. A lot of media don’t pay attention (to me). I’m kind of flying under the radar sometimes. But I just keep coming out here and impressing, and in this fight I look to do the same thing.”

On His Resume: “You can clearly look at my resume – I’ve got 11 first-round knockouts,” he said. “That ain’t tricking nobody: It is what it is.”

On What Hall Needs to Beat Him: “This is 100 percent honest: For someone to beat me in a fight, they have to get lucky,” Brunson said. “I’m well-rounded, fast, explosive, I work hard – any middleweight in the UFC, I’m not saying they can’t get lucky. But they’re going to have to get lucky.” “This is an explosive fight. I look for Uriah to come out and try to get it done. But after that, it’s time to come home to daddy. You know I’ll spank that behind for three rounds. He’s going to come out and try to get lucky. That’s just my job to shut it down. In sports, if a guy isn’t at somebody else’s level, they try to get lucky. And that’s all Uriah Hall has to rely on Saturday is getting lucky.”
