Film About the UFC’s Formation Under Development

A movie centered on the formation of the UFC is under development, according to a new report. MMA Fighting reports that Mandalay Sports Media is working on a feature film about the beginning of the organization and co-founder Rorion Gracie’s influence on the sport. The film will be funded by MSM along with IMG, which is a subsidiary of the company that owns the UFC.
The film will be titled Gracie and follow the UFC’s formation as a vehicle for the growth of Brazilian jiu-jitsu worldwide. Robert Specland is writing the film with Mike Tollin, Mason Gordon, Mark Card and Gordon Gray producing.
