Floyd Mayweather Says He’s Applying For MMA License

Floyd Mayweather recently spoke to TMZ and revealed that he’s planning to turn in the paperwork he needs to in order to become a licensed MMA fighter. He didn’t say where, but it’s likely that he will submit the papers in Nevada.

He said: “Everything takes time. Eventually, we’re gonna apply for the license, and hopefully we can fight.”

He didn’t confirm when he will apply or when he’ll begin training with Tyron Woodley, but he did reveal how long he needs to be ready for a fight. He added: “Even if it takes 6 to 8 months — whatever it takes. We want to make sure that everything is done correctly.”
