Francis Ngannou Comments On Performance At UFC 226

Francis Ngannou was the talk of UFC 226, but likely not for the reasons he’d want. The UFC heavyweight was criticized for his fight with Derrick Lewis, in a fight that UFC President Dana White called ‘horrible‘. Even his opponent Derrick Lewis accepted part of the blame, saying he had a terrible performance. Now in a post on Instagram, Ngannou released a statement about his own UFC 226 performance.

He wrote: “I am not proud of my last performance. I have carried my fear from the last fight to this one. I completely understand the frustration and anger that it has caused to my fans, coaches, teammates, family and friends and I am truly sorry for that. I won’t let everyone down again. All I can do now is prove myself and make you proud again.”
