Goiti Yamauchi spoke with MMAjunkie following his win at Bellator 144 on Friday. Check out the highlights:

On wanting a shot at the title: “After this fight, I don’t think I have anything more to prove. I deserve the title shot.”

On current champion Patricio Freire: “I’m not disrespectful/ I just want to fight for the belt. (Freire) a very dangerous fighter. It will be a great fight.

On his win over Isao Kobayashi: “He will give his best, so I was waiting for it. It wasn’t a problem. He got tired, and I could finish the fight.”

On potentially having to wait: “I ask for a title shot, and I want a title shot. But if I have to fight another fight, I will, no problem.”
