Kevin Lee On Why He Was Quiet On Social Media Before UFC on FOX 31

November 17, 2018 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with Submission Radio (via MMA Junkie), Kevin Lee spoke about why he’s been quiet on his social media accounts prior to facing Al Iaquinta at UFC on FOX 31. His last post was on Instagram to announce the fight back on October 22. UFC on FOX 31 takes place on December 15.

He said: “Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, the whole shebang, I kind of shied away from most of it. Even a lot of media I haven’t been doing, just because at the end of the day, what I do is more important to me. You know, like my craft, my skills, being able to work on that. I felt like some things, especially on social media, were starting to be too big of a distraction. I’m keeping my eyes on the prize. I’m the youngest guy in the top 10 for a reason, and I’m going to be around for a long, long time. I’m not one of these guys that’s going to get to the top and only stay there for a year, a year-and-a-half or whatever. I’m staying there for a long time. And in order to do that, I have to have my craft underneath me. I’ve been focusing on what I do. And when I show up on December 15th, you’re going to see all the work, and it’s going be worth missing a couple of tweets.
