MMA Junkie reports that an interim lightweight title fight between Kevin Lee (16-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (23-3 MMA, 13-1 UFC) will main event UFC 216. The event happens on October 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It airs on PPV after preliminary fights on FXX and UFC Fight Pass. UFC officials have yet to confirm the match order, but a recently released poster suggests the lightweight title fight would take top billing over a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson (26-2-1 MMA, 14-1-1 UFC) and Ray Borg (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC). Johnson will attempt to get his eleventh straight title defense, breaking the record set by Anderson Silva.
