Luke Rockhold Says He Plans to Move to Light Heavyweight

Luke Rockhold spoke with MMAjunkie for a new interview before his fight at UFC 221 and discussed a move to light heavyweight. Highlights are below:

On moving up from middleweight: “One-hundred percent. I’m not hanging here at middleweight much longer. It’s too hard to make weight…It’s not fun. Plus, the division at light heavyweight without Jon Jones is not the same. The middleweight division is much tougher. So move up, cut less weight, and have easier fights? C’mon.”

On whether he might make the move within the year: “Easily.”
