Michael Page Says Bellator 158 Won’t Go Evangelista Santos’ Way

July 16, 2016 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Michael Page (10-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) spoke about his fight with Evangelista Santos (21-17 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) at today’s Bellator 158 event. It will air on tape delay on Spike TV at 9 PM ET.

On being ready for any direction the fight goes: “I’m always just trying to improve myself. As everyone saw in my last fight, I’m comfortable in the jiu-jitsu exchanges, as well. I’m comfortable wrestling if I need to wrestle, and I’m obviously at home when I’m striking. No matter what he wants to do, it’s not going to go his way. I’m just excited to put on a show and a performance like I usually do.”

On Santos’ use of leg locks: “I get to roll with people all the time, so I’m prepared for leg locks. If he wants to play jiu-jitsu – I’m in my hometown, and I’m trying to put on a show. We can do the jiu-jitsu battle afterward if he wants to, but I’m just going to be knocking him out.”
