Nate Diaz Recalls 2015 Incident Where He Slapped Khabib Nurmagomedov
– Back in August 2015, Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov crossed paths at a World Series of Fighting event. In the middle of their exchange, Diaz delivered a slap to Khabib, causing the two parties to be pulled apart before things escalated further.
Speaking ESPN’ Ariel Helwani (via MMAWeekly), Diaz recalled slapping the current UFC Lightweight Champion.
“[He was] spooked for his life. The reason he got slapped was because he was not humble and not this nice guy. He was sitting there with his friends, trying to get a fight with me. He could have fought me, but (now) he’s playing big dog.”
Diaz is scheduled to face Anthony Pettis on Aug. 17 at UFC 241
