MMAFighting.com has new details on the arrest report for MMA fighter Nick Diaz. As previously reported, Diaz was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred on May 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to the arrest report, the victim claims that Diaz grabbed her by the head, slammed her to the ground and then choked her. She was reportedly injured after apparently falling onto the corner of the pool in an outdoor scuffle with Diaz. After police arrived, she was said to have been “visibly in a large amount of pain and could not walk.”

The victim was taken to the hospital, and her hip was potentially broken due to the fall. The report also stated she had
bruises on both legs, reddening of her neck and head, and pain in her head. She informed police that she had confronted Diaz, who she described as her on-again-off-again boyfriend. She claims that night she found out Diaz was having sex with one of her friends. Then they yelled and argued and she threw a glass of water at his face. After that, Diaz allegedly became angry. Then, he “grabbed her by the head and slammed her to the ground, hitting her head against the floor.”

The report also indicates that the victim’s story changed after speaking to another police officer at the hospital. At the hospital, she stated that Diaz put her into a choke for about 30 seconds when they were outside, and he only released it when she thought she was about to nearly pass out. Diaz then allegedly said he was going to throw her in the pool, grabbed her face and pushed her toward it. Instead, she grabbed onto him and she fell short of the water, landing on the corner, which injured her hip.

Officers later determined that Diaz was the “primary physical aggressor.” The victim said Diaz had never been violent with her in the past except in the last several days before the incident. She said he was violent with her after starting to use cocaine, and they had a fight the day before, which left bruises on her thighs.

Diaz last fought in the UFC in 2015 against Anderson Silva at UFC 183. The fight was originally a win for Anderson Silva by decision, but it was overturned to a No Contest after Silva tested positive for drostanolone and androsterone. Additionally, Diaz tested positive for marijuana.
