As previously reported, Nick Diaz was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred Thursday evening (May 24) in Las Vegas, Nevada. MMAjunkie reports that Diaz was released from jail and posted an Instagram story showing him after his release earlier today (May 26).

Diaz appeared in a video that he filmed in a chair in a home. He showed off an elbow injury while making hand gestures. Some rock music was playing in the background, and Diaz didn’t speak during the video.

Diaz was arrested on Thursday and later charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation. He was also charged with misdemeanor battery for the incident involving an alleged female victim.

UFC officials issued a statement about the incident which read, “UFC is aware of the recent arrest of middleweight athlete Nick Diaz. The organization does not tolerate domestic violence and requires all athletes to adhere to the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. Every athlete is deserving of due process, and this situation, as with any official allegations, will be duly reviewed and thoroughly investigated by an independent party.”
