Russian President Vladimir Putin and Conor McGregor Give Condolences To Khabib Nurmagomedov After His Father Dies

It was reported yesterday that the father of Khabib Nurmagomedov passed away as a result of complications of the Coronavirus. MMA Weekly reports that Khabib was called by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who offered his condolences to the UFC lightweight champion.

The Kremlin’s website stated: “Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation with Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, expressed deep condolences over the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.”

Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov’s rival Conor McGregor also posted his own message on Twitter.

He wrote: “The loss of a father, a coach, and a dedicated supporter of the sport. Condolences and rest in peace Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.”
