The Ultimate Fighter Set to Return With Season 29 in March on ESPN+

It’s official. The Ultimate Fighter is returning. The UFC announced earlier this weekend that the MMA reality series will return for its 29th season later next year. TUF Season 29 will debut on ESPN+ later in March 2021. The Ultimate Fighter 29 will stream exclusively on the service.

Additionally, UFC will conduct a remote casting call that’s open from now until November 13. Also, the past 28 seasons will be available to stream on ESPN+ at a later date to be announced soon.

TUF 29 will feature bantamweight (135 lbs.) and middleweight (185 lbs.) divisions. Applications for tryouts are available to download at ufc.com/TUF. Coaches for the new upcoming season will be announced at a later date.

TUF 28 ended in November 2018, featuring coaches Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum. The show aired on FS1. Such stars and champions to come out of the long-running reality series include Kamaru Usman, TJ Dillashaw, Rose Namajunas, Michael Bisping, Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, and more. Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor coached TUF Season 22.

This will mark the first time casting for The Ultimate Fighter will be conducted remotely without any physical tryouts. Finalists for the show casting will be selected by the end of November.
