Tyron Woodley wants a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov and is willing to meet him in the middle in terms of weight in order to make it happen. Woodley appeared on TMZ Sports and talked about his desire for a bout with Nurmagomedov, who is currently the UFC lightweight champion.

Nurmagomedov is next likely to face Tony Ferguson, and Woodley would like to get in line for Khabib once he gets his own welterweight title back. Highlights are below:

On his desire to face Nurmagomedov: “I want to fight Khabib … I got the best takedown defense in the history of the sport. He’s dope, man, like, there’s not too many guys around like that, you know? He’s a once in a lifetime athlete … No, he’s dope as hell. He’s super dope, I’m a fan of his.“

On the potential fight’s weight class: “You know the good thing about it is he got one or two more fights in that division that make sense for him,” Woodley added. “He struggles to make 155. I got to get my belt back for this fight to even make sense … He won’t even have to come up. We can meet at a catchweight, in the middle. Yeah, 165. I barely can make it but for the right bag.”
