Tyson Fury Says He May Train With Conor McGregor For MMA
Tyson Fury is taking his desire to get into MMA serious, to the point that he’s training with Conor McGregor. Fury, who is set to face Braun Strowman in a WWE ring at Crown Jewel this Thursday, spoke with Sky Sports News and said that he’s doing something “even bigger than” the Crown Jewel match and said he would be doing an MMA fight this year.
Fury said he’s been speaking with McGregor, and McGregor is willing to train him. He added that McGregor said they could start as soon as Fury has time. Whether he’ll be able to do so is in question, to be fair; after Crown Jewel, he still has a boxing match with Deontay Wilder set for February 22nd. There was concern that Fury could jeopardize his boxing match if he reopens the cut he suffered against Otto Wallin, but Fury dismissed those concerns earlier this month.
