UFC on ESPN 10 Co-Main Event In Doubt Due to Weigh-In Issue, Preliminary Bout Canceled
The co-main event of UFC on ESPN 10 is uncertain after Karl Roberson heavily missed weight, while a preliminary bout has been canceled. MMA Weekly reports that during the weigh-ins for the card, Roberson came in at 190.5 pounds for his bout against Marvin Vettori which is 4.5 pounds above the allowed limit. As of now, the fight is in doubt.
This is the second time the fight has been in question due to Roberson missing weight. They were supposed to fight at UFC on ESPN 9, but Roberson missed weight by 1.5 pounds and after Vettori agreed to the fight with Roberson forfeiting 20% of his fight purse, Roberson had medical issues stemming from the weigh-in.
Definitively canceled for this weekend’s show is a preliminary fight between Jordan Griffin and Darrick Minner. The UFC announced that Minner had to be pulled from the fight before the weigh-in due to health issues.
