UFC Set To Return to China in August

The UFC is returning to China later this summer for a show in Shenzhen. The company announced (per MMA Weekly) that UFC Fight Night Shenzhen will take place on August 31st and will be the company’s first event in the country since last November’s UFC Fight Night 141. The event is expected to be UFC on ESPN+ 15 (aka Fight Night 157).

“We continue to add new cities in China to our global calendar of events, and we are excited to see the momentum that is steadily building,” Kevin Chang, the UFC’s Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific. said. “China is the most important growth market for UFC, and our ongoing success is a testament to the loyalty of our passionate fans, the on-going support from our partners, and the work we are doing to fast-track the development of UFC ready athletes in this region.”

This is the company’s first visit to Shenzhen. No matches have yet been announced for the show.
