According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, a UFC welterweight title bout between champion Tyron Woodley vs. Kamaru Usman is said to be a “done deal” for UFC 235 in March. Sources indicate that the current plan is that the fight will serve as a co-main event for the planned Jon Jones vs. Anthony Smith title bout. More on that match is available HERE.

Additionally, MMAjunkie reports that a source with knowledge of the match-up confirmed that fight is indeed the plan for later this year.

Kamaru Usman last fought at The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale, beating Rafael dos Anjos by unanimous decision. Woodley last defended his title in September 2018 at UFC 228, beating Darren Till.

The UFC has not yet officially confirmed or announced the title match-up. UFC 235 is currently scheduled for March 2. The fight card will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
