From the moment you walked unexpectedly into my house until the day you passed we had a love affair, which was evident in the brilliant work we did together in the Whitesnake videos, that captured a nation. And for that matter captured the whole world. There was no one like you, and somehow today, the world is darker. We were set to work together again, perhaps as early as next week. I TRULY love you, and I will miss you terribly. When I first heard the news last night, I couldn’t believe it. Then I heard it might be an internet hoax, I started texting you incessantly. When I didn’t hear back, in my heart I knew. I still can’t get my arms around it. Thank you for loving me and shouting it from the rooftops. I totally loved you from jump. I don’t know what to say. RIP my love.

Whitesnake lead singer and Kitaen’s ex-husband, David Coverdale, added on Twitter: “Just woke up to some very sad, unexpected news…Waiting on confirmation…but, if it is true, my sincere condolences to her children, her family, friends & fans…
