Alec Baldwin Defends Woody Allen, Says Attacks Are Unfair And Sad
As we previously reported, actresses like Mira Sorvino have vowed not to work with Woody Allen again after claims from his daughter Dylan Farrow of molestation resurfaced. The claims were originally made in 1992 when Allen split from actress Mia Farrow, with Dylan claiming she was molested at the age of seven. In a series of tweets, Alec Baldwin actually defended the director, claiming that police found nothing in their investigations. He wrote:
Woody Allen was investigated forensically by two states (NY and CT) and no charges were filed. The renunciation of him and his work, no doubt, has some purpose. But it’s unfair and sad to me. I worked w WA 3 times and it was one of the privileges of my career.

WA’s talent has nothing to do with it.
This is a charge that was investigated aggressively and resulted in…nothing.
What would it take for you to at least consider that he is telling the truth?— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) January 16, 2018
Is it possible to support survivors of pedophilia and sexual assault/abuse and also believe that WA is innocent?
I think so.
The intention is not to dismiss or ignore such complaints. But accusing ppl of such crimes should be treated carefully. On behalf of the victims, as well.— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) January 16, 2018
Even though Farrow has stuck to her story over the years, Allen has repeatedly denied it. The claims resurfaced last year when she wrote a piece for The Los Angeles Times.
A representative for Allen said at that time: “Dylan Farrow’s allegations against Woody Allen, which she first made 25 years ago, have been thoroughly examined by law enforcement officials and child welfare investigators. The investigators concluded unambiguously that Dylan Farrow was not sexually abused. No charges were ever filed, and the reason is simple: because Woody Allen is innocent.“
