During an interview on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Alec Baldwin said that having President Donald Trump tweet about his impression of him on Saturday Night Live is surreal. Here are highlights:

On Trump not liking Saturday Night Live: “The interesting thing is nobody’s actually forced to watch. I found that out. We don’t force anyone to watch. Trump forces people to listen to him, I guess we call them government employees.”

On how Trump tweets about him a lot: “Does he have alerts or does he sequester himself for just a period of tweeting? [He eats a] triple order of bacon — he likes bacon, apparently he eats a lot of bacon — and he’s got his phone and he’s watching the news in his boxers and his bathrobe. Or does he get alerts? Is he in the middle of a session with North Korean diplomats and their talking about nuclear weapons? He’s like, ‘Hold on a moment, please. [Tweeting] Alec Baldwin, loser!’”

On playing Trump: “I don’t need to tell you, it gets exhausting after a while. He came to me, [SNL executive producer] Lorne [Michaels], and said do the Trump thing, and we thought we were gonna do it for three shows in the fall. There was no way he was gonna win. And then he won and I remember lying in bed and going, ‘Oh no.’”
