AMC Casts Bailey Bass as Claudia In Interview With the Vampire Series

AMC’s Interview With the Vampire has its child vampire Claudia, casting actress Bailey Bass in the role. Deadline reports that Bass, who is set to appear in the upcoming Avatar sequels, will play the role played by Kirsten Dunst in the 1994 adaptation of the Anne Rice movel.

Claudia is an orphan who is brought into Louis and Lestat’s vampire family in 1794. Eternally a child and possessed of Lestat’s devious nature, she soon grows to resent her becoming undead because she will never be able to physically grow into an adult.

Bass joins Sam Reid as Lestat and Jacob Anderson as Louis in the eight-episode first season of the series, which premieres on AMC+ and AMC in 2022. Rolin Jones (Perry Mason) is serving as creator, writer, and showrunner of the series, which is the first in a planned franchise of properties based on Rice’s Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches books.
