AMC Theatres Announces MoviePass Alternative AMC Stubs A-List

Coming Soon reports that AMC Theatres has announced an alternative to MoviePass, a new tier on its AMC Stubs program called AMC Stubs A-List. For $19.95 (plus tax) per month, you can get three free movies a week at any location and in any format (including IMAX, Dolby, RealD 3D, Prime and Big D). It also allows customers to buy tickets in advance on the AMCTheatres.com website or the smartphone app.

Other benefits include those of the AMC Stubs Premiere tier, which means free upgrades for popcorn and soda, free refills on large popcorn, express service at the box office and concession stand, no online ticket fees and 100 points for every dollar spent on the monthly fee/food and beverage spending at AMC theaters. Premiere members also get a $5 reward for every 5,000 points earned, which is 10% for a future purchase.

AMC Stubs A-List is AMC’s next evolution of delivering amazing benefits to our loyal customers, and we’re excited to continue to grow the program by leaps and bounds.”

Customers will be able to sign up starting June 26 and can use their benefits immediately. The “week” in which customers can see their three movies will reset every Friday, lining up with the day typical for movie openings. There is no carryover from week to week even if less than three movies are viewed. They can also see all three movies in one day, with a two-hour wait between each showtime. They can also see movies they have already seen. Advance reservations can be held for a maximum of three movies at a time.
