Amy Schumer renegotiated her deal with Netflix for 2016’s The Leather Special after learning what Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were making. The news is embedded in an article for Variety about pay disparity for women and minorities in the television field. According to the report, Schumer asked for more money after learning what her male colleagues were making for their specials.

Per the sit, Schumer initially got $11 million for the special, which premiered in March of this year. When she learned that Rock and Chappelle were making $20 million each for each of their specials, Schumer’s team went back to Netflix and asked for more money. While the site doesn’t say how much more Schumer got, it does note that the compensation was “significantly more.”

Pay equality has been a hot-button issue in Hollywood over the last couple of years. Emmy Rossum is among the actresses who have asked for equal compensation to their co-stars, receiving it for the upcoming season of Shameless.
