The next DC Animated Universe film centers on Wonder Woman, and it’s coming in October. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that Wonder Woman: Bloodlines will arrive on Digital HD starting October 5th and 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, and Blu-ray Combo Pack on October 22.

The feature-length animated film will cover Diana’s origin story and a new tale, delving back to when she chose to save fighter pilot Steve Trevor and return him to his home in America. Fulfilling the role of both ambassador as well as protector, Diana soon earns the name Wonder Woman from the gracious people of Earth. Equally strong in body, heart and will, she makes it her mission to help a troubled young girl enlisted by a deadly organization known as Villainy, Inc., whose criminal members have their sights set on invading Themyscira, Diana’s paradise home.

This is only Wonder Woman’s second animated solo film, following the fan-favorite 2009 Wonder Woman home video release. It will feature the return of Rosario Dawson as the voice of Wonder Woman for the sixth time along with Jeffrey Donovan as Steve Trevor, Marie Avgeropoulos as Silver Swan, Adrienne C. Moore as Etta Candy, Kimberly Brooks as The Cheetah & Giganta, Courtenay Taylor as Dr. Poison, Constance Zimmer as Veronica Cale, Nia Vardalos as Julia Kapatelis, Michael Dorn as Ferdinand, Cree Summer as Hippolyta, Mozhan Marno as Dr. Cyber, and Ray Chase as Lead Bandit. As you can see, Diana will not be short of enemies to fight.

The special features will feature an animated short for Neil Gaiman’s beloved take on Death from The Sandman, which features Jamie Chung as the voice of Death and Leonard Nam as Vincent, an artist with unresolved inner demons who meets a mysterious girl that helps him come to terms with his creative legacy … and eventual death. There is also a featurette on The Cheetah, a sneak peek at the next DC Universe movie, Superman: Red Son and more.
