In a series of posts on Twitter, celebrity chef and Parts Unknown host Anthony Bourdain criticized former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her response to the ongoing Harvey Weinstein scandal. The producer has been accused of sexually assaulting and harassing multiple women, including Asia Argento, Rose McGowan, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevingne and others. Bourdain previously wrote about his support of Argento and disgust of Weinstein. Clinton, who has had a good relationship with Weinstein in the past, was called out by Bourdain. He wrote:

Clinton spoke to CNN yesterday, where she claimed she didn’t know about Weinstein’s behavior and pledged to give away any money Weinstein gave her to charity.

She said: “I certainly didn’t, and I don’t know who did. But I can only speak for myself, and I think speak for many others who knew him primarily through politics. I give 10 percent of my income to charity every year. This will be part of that. There’s no doubt about it.

Clinton and her husband, President Bill Clinton, have received campaign money from Weinstein for years, with Weinstein even throwing a party for Hillary’s 2016 presidential campaign, raising millions of dollars (according to the Los Angeles Times). The Clinton Foundation charity also lists Weinstein among its contributors, specifically those who gave between $100,001 and $250,000.
