Antonio Banderas Would Be Willing To Return To Zorro

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Antonio Banderas revealed he would be agreeable to revisit his tenure as Zorro in the event of a film reboot. Rather than taking the leading role himself, however, he thinks his part in the film would be best served differently. “Yes, I would, I would consider that possibility, why not? Yeah, I think today, I said something like that to somebody,” Banderas stated. “They asked me about Zorro. If they called me to do Zorro, I would do what Anthony Hopkins did for me, which is to pass the torch.”

It remains to be seen if anything will come of the idea, although given the ongoing efforts for a Zorro series on NBC, the window is open for Banderas to take on a mentor role in the next phase of the franchise.
