Batista Trashes Fast & Furious Franchise: ‘I’d Rather Do Good Films’
It doesn’t look like former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista, aka Batista, doesn’t have any interest in a Fast & Furious sequel or spinoff anytime soon. As previously reported, WWE’s John Cena has officially joined the cast of Fast & Furious 9 in an unknown role. Batista later responded to a fan tweet, suggesting the former WWE champion as a villain in a future Fast & Furious spinoff starring former WWE champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Cena.
Batista later responded, Thank you for your consideration. I’d rather do good films,” along with some vomiting and queasy emojis in his tweet. You can check out that exchange below.
Fast & Furious 9 featuring John Cena arrives in theaters on May 22, 2020. Meanwhile, Hobbs & Shaw, starring The Rock, hits theaters on August 2. Also, Dave Bautista’s next movie, Stuber, opens on July 12.
