Bill Skarsgard Joins The Cast Of Castle Rock

Bill Skarsgard will appear as Pennywise in IT this September, but he’s not done with Stephen King yet. Deadline reports that the actor has joined Hulu’s new Stephen King series Castle Rock, where he’ll play “a young man with an unusual legal problem.” The series also stars Andre Holland, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey and Jane Levy. JJ Abrams will executive produce with King, Ben Stephenson, Liz Glotzer and series developers Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason. Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television will produce.
The series is set in the “Stephen King multiverse” and is named after the fictional town that appears in several of his novels and short stories (including The Dark Half, Needful Things, Cujo and The Dead Zone. The producers say it will combine “the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”
