Marvel has added another record to Black Panther’s accolades, as it has become the most tweeted-about film of all-time. Twitter has announced that the Marvel Cinematic Universe film has surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi to become the most-discussed film on the social media website with thirty-five million tweets.

In the grand scheme of things, this obviously isn’t a huge record for the film. But it adds another accolade to the wildly successful film which is easily on course to become the most successful MCU film to date financially. Through Tuesday the film has $610.1 million domestically and $1.197 million worldwide on a $200 million budget. It has the potential to become the #3 grossing film of all-time domestically if it can top Titanic’s $659.3 million, which seems likely.

The Twitter activity has also had a good amount of impact on the film’s week-to-week holds, with positive word of mouth driving the film to a five-weekend reign at #1.
