Bond Producers Reportedly Passed On Moneypenny Spinoff

It was reported earlier this week that Naomie Harris said she and Moonlight director Barry Jenkins were interested in a 007 spinoff focused on her character Moneypenny. However, it seems the producers of the franchise weren’t so keen on it.

During an appearance on Good Morning America (via Joblo), Harris said the movie is not happening.

She said: “He’s wanted to do a badass, kick-ass action thing with Moneypenny, which I’m all for. I got together with our producer, Barbara Broccoli, and was like ‘Let’s make this happen.’ But she wasn’t so down for it. But maybe, one day, who knows. The conversation has started at least, and we’re continuing it here.”
