Details about the upcoming Breaking Bad sequel movie, Greenbrier, have remained slim beyond the story focusing on Jesse Pinkiman’s post-Breaking Bad life and “his quest for freedom.” We do know that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan will write and direct the film, that Bryan Cranston may make a cameo, and that the film was scheduled to shoot between November and February in New Mexico.

Some rumors have gone around about the cast, including word that Jonathan Banks (Mike), Jesse Plemons (Todd), Krysten Ritter (Jane), Robert Forster (The Disappearer), Matt Jones (Badger), and Kevin Rankin (Kenny) all could be in the film. Since some of those characters died in Breaking Bad, the film is likely to have flashbacks.

Coincidentally (or not), Aaron Paul (Jesse) took a break from social media during the time when the film was scheduled to be shot.

We do finally have some new news though. A local man in Albuquerque, where the film was shooting, has managed to snap some photos of the film locations, as well as some shots of Aaron Paul and Gilligan in town. It’s worth noting that when we last saw Paul’s Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, he was headed out of Albuquerque, so it’s interesting that a lot of the movie is being shot in the city. The photos also feature both Jesse and Mike’s cars. Mike’s car was last seen in the memorable scene where Walter White killed Mike.

The compound lab is also seen in the photos.

And this video suggests that we’ll be returning to the vacuum cleaner business that Ed the Disappearer works out of.

The Pinkman residence looks like it’ll be in the film as well.

And this strip mall location would seem to imply that Saul Goodman will also be in the movie.

Hitfix actually speculates that Greenbrier may serve as a sequel to both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, with the latter’s fifth season possibly being its last. This would suggest that the movie may include “Gene.”
