Cast Announced For Ryan Murphy’s Netflix Series The Politician

Coming Soon reports that Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Laura Dreyfuss and Rahne Jones have joined Ben Platt in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Netflix comedy series The Politician. Murphy worked on the series with Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan.

The series follows Payton (Platt), “a wealthy Santa Barbarian” with political aspirations. Each season will follow different races that Payton joins. It has been given a two-season straight-to-series order by Netflix. There will be several musical numbers in the series. Murphy will direct the pilot. This is the second series for Murphy at Netflix, after Ratched, a prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
