Netflix dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated, long-awaited third season of the Castlevania animated series. You can check out the new trailer below. The show returns for its new season next month on the streaming service.

The third season is set to feature 10 episodes. Season 3 looks to pick up not long after where Season 2 left off where Alucard, Trevor Belmont, and Sypha Belnades defeated Dracula. Now, it looks like Carmilla has taken over leadership of the vampire race, and Hector, Dracula’s former vampire general, remains her prisoner. Also, Isaac appears to be enacting his own plans to carry out Dracula’s will to eradicate the human race using Hell’s demons.

Hector and Isaac previously appeared in the PS2 video game, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, where Isaac was the villain. The storyline was set not long after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, for which the first two seasons of the animated series were based. However, Season 3 of the animated series looks like it’s taking a number of departures from the games. For example, while Carmilla is a recurring character in the game series, she was not one of the villains in Curse of Darkness. Here’s an official synopsis for the show:

“Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.”

Castlevania Season 3 debuts on Netflix on March 5.
