Chris Evans Wraps Filming on Avengers 4, Appears to Say Goodbye to MCU
Chris Evans has finished what could be his last day of filming as Captain America. Evans posted to Twitter on Thursday noting that he had wrapped his filming on Avengers 4, and suggested (not for the first time) that it was the end of his run with the character.
Evans posted:
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.

The actor, who first played the role in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, said in March that Avengers 4 would likely be his last film as Steve Rogers. He said in an interview, “You want to get off the train before they push you off.”
Avengers 4 opens on May 3rd, 2019.
