Christopher Nolan doesn’t expect to see himself behind the camera for another DC superhero film, noting that he’s likely done with them. Nolan was interviewed with John David Washington by Geeks of Color promoting their new film Tenet, and the topic came up when Washington was asked whether he would be interested in playing Green Lantern.

Washington, who has been popular among DC fans as a choice to play John Stewart, shot the question over to Nolan with an “ask him.” Nolan laughed and said (per JoBlo), “I think my DC days are over.”

Nolan did say that Washington “would be an excellent choice” to play Washington. Nolan of course jumped into the DC pool when he directed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. Since finishing with the latter film, Nolan has pursued his own original projects like Tenet, which is in theaters now.
