Colin McFarlane Joins Outlander Season 4 as Ulysses

Entertainment Weekly reports that Colin McFarlane (The Dark Knight, Torchwood) has been cased in the role of Ulysses for the fourth season of Outlander. Ulysses is a musician and a well-educated man who was sold into slavery at a young age.

The character in the show is also a trusted servant of Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), the aunt of Jamie. They live together in River Run. The show is slated to return for its upcoming fourth season later in 2018. Production is currently underway in Scotland.

Season four of the series will feature 13 episodes, and it will be based upon the book Drums of Autumn, which is the fourth of eight books in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. The show and books follow the romantic adventures of (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).

Outlander is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Matthew B. Roberts, Toni Graphia, Anne Kenney and Andy Harries.
