It’s time to put your shirt up around your head and practice your dumb laughs, because Beavis and Butt-Head is making a return. THR reports that Comedy Central has ordered a two-season revival of the iconic 1990s MTV animated series, with plans for additional spinoffs and other specials.

The site reports that Mike Judge, who created the series, will be back behind the wheel and will write, produce and voice act for the return, providing the voice for both characters once again. The new revival will see the characters enter a “whole new Gen Z world” in a series that will contain “meta-themes” that will serve new fand old. The news comes after Comedy Central picked up Jodie an adult animated series that is a spinoff of the Beavis and Butthead spinoff Daria.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on adult animation at Comedy Central,” said ViacomCBS executive Chris McCarthy. “Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.”

The series originally debuted as part of MTV’s Liquid Television animation block in 1992 and transitioned to its own series in 1993. The show ran through 1997 and had a previous revival in 2011, as well as a feature film titled Beavis and Butt-Head Do America in 1996. The series became a part of mainstream pop culture consciousness and ultimately inspired South Park.
