Courteney Cox Set For Scream 7 Return

Gale Weathers will be in Ghostface’s orbit again, with Courteney Cox set to return for Scream 7. Variety reports that Cox is signed on to appear in the seventh film, continuing her run as the only character to appear in every entry in the franchise.

Cox has played Gale in all previous six films and will join Neve Campbell and Mason Gooding as returning characters. New cast members include Celeste O’Connor, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Asa Germann, Anna Camp and Isabel May, the latter of whom is reportedly playing Sidney’s daughter.

Kevin Williamson is directing from a script by Guy Busick, who co-wrote the last two films. A plot synopsis has yet to be revealed for the new film, which is set to release on February 27th, 2026.
