Horror News Network reports that during the Shudder panel at New York Comic Con, Greg Nicotero revealed that the upcoming Creepshow TV series will adapt works by Stephen King, Joe Hill (King’s son, who was in the original film) and Joe Lansdale, author of Bubba Ho-Tep. The TV adaptation will be six episodes long.

Nicotero added that the tone would shift from episode to episode, with some being comedic and others being scary. He also said that each episode will be “as long as they need to be” and they won’t try to make the story fit a specific length of time. Finally, he wants to make digital comics for each episode as a bonus for Shudder subscribers. He added that he wants them to be made into actual comics, as he thinks that’s the best way to read comics. No start date on the new series has been announced.
