The CW isn’t waiting to reveal next television season’s Arrowverse crossover. The event will be the iconic “Crisis on Infinite Earths” storyline, as announced at the end of the final part of this year’s “Elseworlds” event on Tuesday night.

The “Elseworlds” arc saw the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) test the heroes of Earth-1 (The Flash, Arrow) and Earth-38 (Supergirl) to ensure they would be ready for a “crisis” to come. In the epilogue for Tuesday’s Supergirl, Batwoman (Ruby Rose) calls Oliver Queen to tell him that John Deegan, who was the big threat for the event, has “made a new friend” in Roger Hayden.

Roger Hayden is better known as Psycho-Pirate, a character who factors into what’s to come. He factors as an important accomplice of the Anti-Monitor in Crisis on Infinite Earths. The storyline, written by Marv Wolfman with art by George Pérez, was released in 1985 and 1986 and completely changed the DC multiverse, causing the DCU to be rebooted.

The “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover will run in fall of 2019. You can see the epilogue and teaser image in the below video.
