Dave Bautista Lands Starring Role in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead

Deadline reports that WWE Superstar Dave Bautista, aka Batista, has landed his next big movie role. He will headline the next film from Justice League and Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead. Snyder is slated to direct the $70-million zombie film for Netflix.

Snyder is directing from a script he co-write with Shay Hatten. The film will follow a man who assembles a group of mercenaries to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted in the midst of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. The mercenaries venture into the zombie quarantined zone to pull off the heist.

Snyder is also producing the film along with his wife Deborah Snyder. Ori Marmur and Andrew Norman are overlooking the project for Netflix.

Dave Bautista is also set to reprise his role as Drax the Destroyer in Avengers: Endgame. That film is due out on April 26. He will also star in the film Stuber, which arrives on July 12.
