Dave Bautista’s Production Company Teaming Up For Cat Assassin Franchise

Dave Bautista’s Dogbone Entertainment is teaming up with Titan1Studios for a Cat Assassin multimedia franchise. Deadline reports that the actor’s production company and Titan1Studios are developing a franchise including animated series, video games and publishing initiatives from a setting from Steve Lerner, who created the video games Stray and Twelve Minutes.
The franchise is described by Deadline as “set in a gritty neo-noir world inhabited by anthropomorphized cats” and focuses on a skilled assassin named Hugh, who is caught between underworld power players in a “dark and twisted city.”
The report notes that Titan1Studios is “well underway” on the stealth action video game, noting that it is inspired by “the immersive gameplay of Assassin’s Creed, the tactical espionage of Splinter Cell, the immersive feline agility of Stray and the fluid combat of Sifu.” That game will establish the tone for the unvierse as a whole, with more details on the planned animated series, feature film, publishing partners and more games to follow.
“It’s been a pleasure collaborating with Titan1Studios on Cat Assassin,” said Bautista. “Their ability to build worlds through animation has been so impressive and they’ve created a truly unique world in this game that I can’t wait to share with players.”
Titan1Studios President & CEO Rathan Moorthy added, “We are incredibly excited to partner with Dave Bautista and Dogbone Entertainment on Cat Assassin. Dave’s journey from a formidable WWE superstar to a highly respected Hollywood actor is a powerful testament to his acting ability and dedication to his craft. We are absolutely thrilled to have him as part of this franchise. This partnership, combined with Steve Lerner’s incredible storytelling, highlights the immense potential of the Cat Assassin world.”
Lerner said in the announcement, “Bringing the world of Cat Assassin to life in so many forms, from games to comics and of course TV, is a dream come true.”
