M*A*S*H and Beauty and the Beast Star David Ogden Stiers Passes Away

Deadline.com reports that actor David Ogden Stiers, best known for his role as Major Charles Winchester for TV’s M*A*S*H, has passed away. According to his agent Mitchell Stubbs, Stiers died in his home. He was 75 years old.
Stiers also voiced Cogsworth in Disney’s animated feature, Beauty and the Beast, which was nominated for Best Picture in 1992. His credits include such shows as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Charlie’s Angels, and Kojak. He was also a prominent voice actor for multiple Disney animated features, including Jumba in Lilo & Stitch.
Stiers previously revealed that he was battling bladder cancer. He continued doing voice-over work up until 2015 in video games, animated cartoons and TV shows.
