DC Orders Superman Prequel Metropolis to Series For Digital Service
DC has ordered another live-action series for their upcoming digital streaming service, giving a series order to Metropolis. Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment announced on Tuesday that the Superman prequel series will begin filming later this year for a thirteen-episode first season. The series is aiming to premiere in 2019, with John Stephens and Danny Cannon (Gotham) writing the story and serving as executive producers.
The series will look at the lives of Lois Lane and Lex Luthor prior to Superman’s arrival. Stephens will write the pilot, with Cannon directing.
The series joins live-action series Titans and animated shows Harley Quinn and Young Justice: Outsiders on the service, which will launch later this year. You can see teaser art for the series below.
