DC Universe Sets Swamp Thing Premiere Date, Young Justice: Outsiders Return

The return of Young Justice: Outsiders and the premiere of Swamp Thing are officially set. DC Universe announced at WrestleCon on Saturday that Swamp Thing will premiere on Friday, May 31st while Outsiders will return for the back half of its season on July 2, 2019.

Swamp Thing is the live-action DC Universe adaptation of the antihero, with Len Wiseman executive producing. It stars Andy Bean as Alec Holland, Will Patton as Avery Sutherland Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane, Maria Sten as Liz Tremayne, Jeryl Prescott as Madame Xanadu, Jennifer Beals as Sheriff Lucilia Cable, Virginia Madsen as Maria Sunderland, Henderson Wade as Matt Cable, Kevin Durand as Jason Woodtrue/Floronic Man and Leonardo Nam (Westworld) as Harlan Edwards. Committing to the lead role of the titular monster is The Flash‘s Derek Mears.

Young Justice: Outsiders premiered the first half of its season on January 4th and aired the first thirteen episodes. It introduced a new team led by Nightwing, with Superboy, Black Lightning, and Tigress/Artemis. Halo, Forager, and Geo-Force are the new recruits, with Cyborg potentially joining as well.
