Saddle up, people, because the long-anticipated Deadwood revivial is gaining traction. HBO Programming president Casey Bloys revealed at the TCA summer press tour on Wednesday (via TV Line that the project is coming together and that the company is happy with the script that series creator David Milch has turned in.

“The one thing that I was concerned about was I wanted a script that would stand on its own [for fans and non-fans],” said Bloys. “David totally delivered on that. I think it’s a terrific script. If we can do it on a budget that makes sense for us, and if we can get the cast together, we’re inclined to do it.”

The script is intended to be four a two-hour film that would return to the Western setting. The show ran three seasons from 2004 to 2006 and starred an ensemble cast including Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker, Jim Beaver, W. Earl Brown, Dayton Callie, Kim Dickens, Brad Dourif, Anna Gunn and John Hawkes.
